This year’s 48th annual Arts & Crafts Fair will take place over two days, August 8 and 9, starting at 9am. The fair has long been an excited and much anticipated event for Sandpoint and visitors—last year saw an attendance of over 4,000 visitors.
Attendees can look forward to artist booths, food vendors and a youth art arena. Art exhibits will include sculptures, ceramics, metal, fiber, photography, paintings, mixed media, wood , crafts and much more, and all proceeds go to support the Pend Oreille Art Council’s programs in visual and performing arts and education for the benefit of the Sandpoint community.
August marks one of the busiest months for Sandpoint, with people streaming in from all over the country. The Arts & Crafts Fair is an exciting time to celebrate what our local artisans bring to the community, while likewise sharing our unique talents and close-knit small-town values with visitors and the community.
The fair will be held in Downtown Sandpoint on 2nd Avenue and Main Street, where attendees can wander the beautiful flower basket-filled streets and explore various vendors. Each item is carefully and lovingly crafted, and makes for the perfect handmade gift from North Idaho—a slice of Sandpoint.
After exploring the fair, visitors can wander downtown shops and restaurants, stop in for an ice cream, or head down to City Beach for a refreshing dip in the water.
The Arts & Crafts Fair is free to attend, though there is a $5 admission fee for the Youth Art Arena to help cover the cost of supplies. Visit ArtInSandpoint.org/arts-crafts-fair for more information and event updates.
