August 3 This events has been canceled for 2024. The Pend Oreille Rowing and Paddling Association (PORPA) announces its third annual PORPA Sprints on the Priest River at the Priest River Recreation Area (Mudhole) on Saturday, August 3. Bring your kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards and rowing shells for a day of non-motorized fun races. All ages and abilities welcome. The highlight event is a multi-craft relay race. A professional sports photographer will be on the water taking amazing action images of participants while racing! Registration and T-shirt are free for youth under 18. This year, they're looking for 20 more kids to participate! Register online at PORPA.org.
The Pend Oreille Rowing and Paddling Association exists to promote safe and responsible rowing in the Pend Oreille River valley of Idaho and Washington. We are located in Priest River Idaho and currently row from the Priest River Recreation Area “The Mudhole” in Priest River, Idaho.
