Nothing screams summer like a good old county fair. And that’s exactly what you can expect at this year’s Bonner County Fair—its 96th annual!
The fun takes place Wednesday, August 17, through Saturday, August 20, at the Bonner County Fairgrounds in Sandpoint. Four days of fair food, fun, entertainment and more will be at your fingertips. This year’s theme? Red, White and Bloom.
The four full days of festivities will be filled with fun and accompanied by some main events you won’t want to miss: Ranch Sorting, Summer Nights Concert, Challenge of Champions Bull Riding, and the Demolition Derby! Also be sure to come out and show your support to the 4-H kids, who will be on-site showing off all of their hard work on their 4-H projects, participate in the various contests, and check out all of the great community booths! Gates open at 11am each day of the fair.
Don’t miss the free-to-attend Ranch Sorting event at 6pm on August 17, an exciting team sorting and penning of cattle. Additional arena events take place 7:30 to 10pm, and all ticket prices reflect pre-sale pricing. Sponsored by Columbia Bank, the Summer Nights Concert welcomes the return of the Copper Mountain Band August 18, and tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for youth. And don't forget the Challenge of the Champions Bull Riding, taking center stage August 19. This event sells out quickly, so purchase your tickets before it's too late; $12 for adults and $8 for youth. August 20 welcomes the Sandpoint Smash Demolition Derby. Tickets are priced $15 for adults and $10 for youth.
Get the best priced tickets by purchasing them in advance from one of the pre-sale locations! Pre-sale tickets are currently available at: Bonner County Fair Office, Columbia Bank (Sandpoint and Ponderay locations), Carter Country, North40, Sandpoint Super Drug and Les Schwab.
To help get ready for all the activities the fair has to offer, be sure to pick up a copy of the 2022 Fairbook at one of dozens of locations throughout Bonner County to find out all you need to know about the fair, including event schedules for fair week, departments and classes, entertainment information, sponsorship information, and more!
The best part is that the Bonner County Fair is free for all to attend, and parking is just $3 per day (a $10 four-day parking pass is available prior to opening day at the Fair Office). And the money collected goes to a great cause! Half of the proceeds collected will go toward scholarships, while the other half will benefit high school programs in Bonner County.
