Winter Adventures
With Schweitzer Mountain as a backdrop, it’s no wonder that many locals enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities. Ski, board, tube or enjoy miles of cross country skiing at the legendary mountain. Cozy cabins for rent and rustic sleigh rides take you back to a simpler time. Back country roads become a haven for snowmobiling and frozen lakes provide opportunities for ice fishing and skating. The annual Sandpoint Winter Carnival includes fireworks, a parade of lights, Taste of Sandpoint food festival, K9 Keg Pull, and more fun for the whole family. Warm up with a hot drink at one of many local bars, and enjoy seasonal winter beers from awarding winning local brewers.
